CBS vs NYU MBA for IB recruiting?

Which school gives you the best shot to land a job at one of the most prestigious banks and eventually transition into PE? Also, given that CBS has a larger class and courses are a bit harder based on my understanding

I can't speak on CBS, but I got my MBA from Stern and loved the program. After the core classes there are a lot of interesting classes you can choose to take in different specialties. There were a ton of social events throughout the program that were always a good time and I've made some of my best friends at Stern. There are career advisors too that were actually pretty helpful with job searching and interview prep and resume review. It was nice being in Greenwich Village too. When applying to jobs, there were many other Stern grads at the places I was interviewing at, so it was useful for making connections.

Realistically speaking, you’ll be more than fine at Stern or CBS. Both are great institutions. That said, CBS may offer marginal benefits due to it being an Ivy with an expansive Global network across all domains within high finance — IB/PE/VC.

Both are great, but CBS might give you more optionality to recruit for PE/IM/HF if you're into it.

One thing to note about CBS is that they're high on the DEI initiatives. That simply means that they have a lot of DEI kids recruiting for IB, so take that into consideration
