Tikehau, up and coming beast?

An1 at a BB coverage group pretty interested in private credit.
Been researching a few names in the past. Saw Tikehau’s earnings and growth have been pretty solid over the past few years. Their fund returns also don’t seem to be that bad (expanding quickly out of France into UK, Germany and now US i believe)

What are your thoughts on them? Decent place to be in the future with this growth proposition?

Very respectable player who has been punching above its weight over the past years. However, I heard that it is very French centric and in order to climb to the top you need to be a French native. Comp wise they pay way below market.

Strong firm, definitely one to watch out for over the years. Agree with the other comment though, very French, and that may effect career progression. Constantly growing and still a great place to be at.

Good lender but comp is just horrendous. Expect to be paid 50% less than other top lenders

Heard market base in London though the bonus seems like it's abt 30-40% from a friend who works there. Also heard Continental EU comp was 70k (EUR) + ~55% bonus for AN1. Lower than street, yes, but not too shabby.

I know someone who works there and can say it's lower, would personally stay away French firms

For credit ok firm, I would not touch their PE teams. Massive churn in PE, their Head of PE in Europe just left as well when I remember correctly - does not look to good.

Tikehau pays way below market, but I know for a fact that hours are also way below with great culture in the Paris office for the Private Debt team

They seem to live a very comfortable life, a lot of very sympathetic juniors, they go out every week to bars/nightclubs

Below market pay but great culture, exposure and WLB, best teams are Credit, Real Estate and Tactical Starts, would avoid the rest, very French indeed,

Pay in Italy and Spain is same as France so would say above market for those offices
