Info on Securitized Credit Risk Officer
Hi - not sure if this belongs in Credit, but been seeing a few roles for Securitized Credit Risk Officers and I’m curious as to what the day to day is like, hours, comp/bonus expectations, hierarchy within the bank, etc?
Fwiw, currently working at small buy-side shop as a credit analyst responsible for opining on credit risk, relative value/fair value levels for bonds in primary and secondary markets. Investing for institutional money.
Example job description:
Provide effective risk assessment, credit analysis, adjudication and monitoring of an Asset Backed Securities (ABS) portfolio
• Credit officer for a portfolio of Traditional and Non-Traditional Asset Backed
Securities (ABS) borrowers
• Provide effective risk assessment, credit analysis, adjudication and monitoring of
assigned portfolio
• Assign ratings to ABS borrowers and continuously monitor portfolio for ratings
accuracy
• Evaluates variables that affect credit risk; works and communicates with
colleagues outside of own department concerning credit risk considerations
• Implements quantitative analysis methods and related technology-based tools to
analyze data in order to effectively monitor, measure, and manage credit risks
• Analyzes business activities and credit risk of investments on the organization;
ensures credit transactions are in compliance with credit risk management
policies and procedures, limits, and guidelines
