Schools in Tx
I'm currently a sophomore in a local community college in NY, looking to transfer to a four year down in Texas to do some type of finance in energy (Not really IB tbh). I'm just looking for any alumni in Texas that went to SMU. Wondering how well SMU places in firms. To be honest my grades aren't up to par with UT, TAMU or Rice so those are out of the question. SMU is a really nice campus but to be honest I'm terrified that my GPA won't be high enough to compete....

You know what gpa I would need for SMU? Their minimum is 2.7 but I feel like that is not even close to being competitive with the actual student gpa
probably at least a 3.0. Also look at UT Dallas or University of Houston. Both easier, and both good enough to get looks at some Houston/Dallas shops.
