Looks like you’re a kid who dropped the ball on banking recruiting. Being blunt. You don’t have a chance. You may have a chance at small regional firm. Up to you to find that. All of the good AM firms take less than 5 interns a year. Most of the good ones would have been done already. The notion that AM is a backup to banking recruiting is hilarious. AM is 1000x more competitive. Good luck!

 

Yes and I would argue those are not serious investing jobs. Pensions are typically FoF and insurance is liability matching.

 

fair enough. i had an an interview with an insurer as a credit analyst and even in the interview it wasn't clear what the function was. halfway house between credit rating and credit risk, neither of which i was desperately keen on doing
