Sorry, but GPA Panic...

Current Transfer student @ Semi-Target School who recruited into SA at EB. I am interested in buyside recruiting when the time comes:

As a Transfer student, I will only have four semesters of GPA reflected on my transcript. No excuses of course - no one will ever hear want to hear those - but I had some personal issues, tanked one class (got a D), and ended with a 2.9 this semester. This implies that I could end up graduating with a < 3.5 GPA.
1. What avenues are available to me to improve my GPA right this moment (has anyone utilized any school policy loopholes or know of any)?

  1. I am more than willing to bust my ass, but to get my GPA above a 3.7 would require me to take almost 8-9 classes for two semesters. Is it worth sacrificing basically everything in my life to graduate with a 3.7 > 3.5?

  2. Is it fair to include my Cumulative College GPA on my resume instead to benefit my average (I have been a 3.9+ student for every single semester except this one)?

Sorry - ik this is the billionth WSO post on GPA and no one has an exact answer. But really stressed about my current situation; I know life isn't fair sometimes, but still. I would love some reassurance that I can grow from this in some way.

Ask and see if you could either retake the class that you got a low grade in

Or see if there’s a way to drop out from the class or have it be a pass fail

Depends on your school and prof though
