Are consultants actually unregretful?
Is management consulting one of those things that is actually really lame and depressing but the people who are inside of it, make it seem really good? It reminds me of when I was growing up and certain schools, colleges, and clubs/sports looked awesome from the outside but once you begin attending or being a part of if you realize how miserable everyone is (e.g. Harvard). Is consulting one of those things?
With other careers, when people are asked if they regret going into this career, some usually say yes, but in consulting everyone I see pretty much just says no.
I've met several consultants who regret their choice of career. But these are usually at lower tier consultancies.
