About That Time Again - Stonk/Sector Picks for 2024?

Title. It's close to the end of the year, which means it's time for some stonk/sector picks for the upcoming year. My picks are metals/mining and healthcare.

Metals/mining because I think we'll see a slowish decline in the dollar and purchasing power over the long haul, especially if we really do cut rates and keep them low again. I'm speculating here, but I think the Fed is pivoting dovish because there may be signs of us entering a bit of a deflationary spiral (but not that dramatic). I think owning precious metals, especially copper, steel, and things of that nature that have real industrial use, can be a hedge against that.

Healthcare because I like the valuations and think healthcare spending will only increase as the population continues to age. This is probably one of the worst performing industries this year, so I feel like there'll be some rotation, especially if there's a pullback since this will be seen as defensive.

Wayyy ahead of you.

my views = long 20 year via TLT for the remaining 150bps of cuts to kick into pricing

also think we will see a spike in Disney as subscriber biz becomes EPS accretive and they turn a cycle on content (less trash, Deadpool 3 marks the turning point) and hedgies/ RM in Mag7 diversify out as they dig into the risk/reward of the SOTP.

also have some smaller names I think will go including CommScope and Elf Cosmetics.
